Find tranquillity in the valley of Sao Vicente, Madeira. Join our group staying at a sustainability & wellbeing focused Hotel with pool, & sauna, enjoying local organic breakfasts and meals throughout the 7 night Adventurous Escape. With beaches on one side and lush green mountains on the other, Madeira has everything to offer the keen adventurer. We will hike the Stairway to Heaven at sunrise, and explore the endless winding walks through forests and waterfalls. Swim at the coastal natural infinity pools whilst watching the waves of the Atlantic Ocean in the sunshine. Relax by the pool, enjoy locally sourced fruits and cuisine, whilst engaging in wellbeing sessions guided by your Escape Unclouded host. Share daily gratitude with your new friends, and dive into conversation upon the mountain tops. There will be free-time to embark on additional adrenaline rushing activities, with local expert guides. e.g. waterfall canyoning!
At Escape Unclouded, we understand that everybody is wired differently - that is why every activity and wellbeing session is optional. There is no requirement to participate and you can see how you feel on the day.

The below itinerary is based on joining with the Adventure & Wellbeing Escape Package.
Day 1:
Arrive in Madeira and meet your transfer to our Hotel in Sao Vicente. Meet your new friends for the week, settle into your room, and relax at sunset around the pool. Your Escape Unclouded guide will discuss options for canyoning & surfing later in the week.
Day 2:
Wake for a sunrise breakfast. Our transfer will arrive to collect us and take us to the starting point of the Levada 25 Fontes Hike. Walking through narrow forest trails, we will reach the waterfalls, where we can take a wild swim in the cold pool. (Total 2 to 3 hours hiking - moderate difficulty). Your Escape Unclouded guide will bring a packed lunch for the group. Upon returning to our Hotel mid-afternoon, the evening is yours to enjoy local scenery and watch the sunset over the hills.
Day 3:
Enjoy breakfast before joining the group for a meditation session in the sun. Wander local valleys and explore Sao Vicente and its quirky town centre. In the late-afternoon, we will re-group for a science-based wellbeing session, guided by your Escape Unclouded tour leader. The evening can be spent as you wish, taking a sunset walk through the valley, or joining new friends for a local restaurant dinner.
Day 4:
After breakfast, we will join in a group meditation session, before heading to the Porto Moniz natural infinity pools! The stunning natural pools are perfect for a relaxing dip, enjoying the Madeira sunshine, and grabbing a local bite to eat. Relax, swim and chat, or speak to your guide about visiting Seixal, a cosy seaside town with surfing opportunities. A transfer can be organised at an additional cost. We will return to our Hotel from Porto Moniz for the evening.
Day 5:
Following breakfast, take the day to relax, joining in afternoon wellbeing and meditation sessions at our Hotel with Pool & Sauna. Today is the best day to go canyoning - this can be organised by speaking to your guide, who will get you in touch with the local canyoning experts!
Day 6:
An early morning! We will be collected by our transfer at around 5.30AM to head to the Stairway to Heaven. A spectacular view over the mountains and beyond, as the sun rises. We'll grab a morning coffee after a short hike of around 1 hour, then return back to our Hotel around lunch-time. For those wishing to hike for longer, dependent on trail conditions, this can be organised for an additional cost, as an additional return transfer will need to be organised. We will spend the evening in the local town, exploring local markets and taking a relaxing sunset walk, where we will engage in a guided group talking session on mental health and wellbeing.
Day 7:
Spend the morning by the pool with breakfast. Take the day to yourself, or explore Funchal, or other coastal towns. Meet back at our Hotel for 6pm, where we will eat dinner together as a group and share our favourite memories of our week in Madeira.
Day 8:
Say goodbye to your new friends over breakfast, before packing away souvenirs and getting ready to check out of the Hotel. Transfer to Madeira Airport to return home.

Our wellbeing style combines guided coaching, practical science-based tools and gentle group discussions designed to help you understand your behavioural patterns, re-frame limiting beliefs and strengthen emotional resilience. We use the natural shift that travel creates in the brain to introduce new, healthier routines. This ranges from intentional morning practices and mindful movement to structured reflection and personal goal setting. You’ll leave not only feeling restored and clear-headed, but equipped with practical strategies to sustain positive change in everyday life.
